Meet the Team

Paula – Office Manager
Paula, originally from Schenectady, joined the dental practice in 2007. After high school, she took several business courses at Spencer’s Business Institute to further her education. She brings with her 12 years of customer service experience which included training customer service representatives for a major insurance company.  She enjoys working in Dr. Oshins dental office since she can assist in running the business and help people at the same time. Paula takes pride in the fact that she puts the patients first! Paula enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, roller blading, and snow shoeing. She has currently climbed 38 of the 46 high peaks in the Adirondack region and hopes to finish the remainder in the Fall of 2009.

Tammy – Dental Hygienist
Tammy brings with her over 16 years experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She is originally from Stony Point, New York. She is a graduate of the Dental Hygiene Program at Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), and holds a master’s degree in Educational Administration and Policy Studies from the University at Albany. Tammy’s passion and dedication are in her commitment to her profession. Currently, Tammy is an adjunct instructor in the Dental Hygiene Program at HVCC.  Her blend of clinical practice, experience skill level, and academics provide her patients with the most comprehensive dental care. Tammy takes pride in educating her patients to achieve optimal oral health. Tammy’s greatest accomplishments are her two children Luke and Claire.  She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. Tammy’s hobbies are gardening, cooking and skiing.

Kara – Dental Hygienist
Kara is originally from Whitesboro, New York.  She received her Associates Degree in Travel and Tourism from Herkimer County Community College in Herkimer, New York. Combining her education and interests resulted in Kara spending seven years in the hotel industry. After that period Kara moved to Troy, New York and attended Hudson Valley Community College and obtained a degree in Dental Hygiene. At HVCC she was recognized for many achievements and received the Anne F. Hines Award for outstanding clinical proficiency as well as the Freshman Professional Achievement Award. Kara enjoys traveling and has extensively visited locations in North America and Europe.
